Part 3 - Windows 7 Desktop Basics
This is the third training video in a series of screencasts that are intended to supplement the "Learn about Windows Basics" topic in the Windows 7 Help and Support application. This part supplements the section "The Desktop (Overview)".
In this screencast we learn what the desktop is and how to work with items (files, folders, shortcuts, etc) that are located on it. We supplement the Microsoft help by demonstrating the tasks:
- To add a shortcut to the desktop
- To add or remove common desktop icons
- To move a file from a folder to the desktop
- To remove an icon from the desktop
In addition to those tasks I also demonstrate how organize the desktop, how to select multiple icons on the desktop, and how to use the Recycle Bin.
